In the field of industry and basic science, hardness has a special and unique position among the different metrological values. Establishing and maintaining a hardness standard is extremely important for metrology, requiring standard system with specify characteristics.

Hardness primary system HSM is the best solution for development and maintenance of the references, and for the support of the Standard activity.

Hardness primary system HSM is designed in accordance with national standard of countries, specific as follow:

  • Calibrate the reference test blocks for the Rockwell scales (A-B-C-D-E-F-G-H-KL-M-N-P-R-S-T-V-W-X-Y)
  • Create the indentations to calibrate reference test blocks for Vickers scales [from HV3 to HV100]
  • Create the indentations to calibrate reference test blocks for Brinell scales starting from 5 kgf to 187.5 kgf.
  • Intergrated with the Gal-Vision (automatically perform hardness tests, measuring Vickers and Brinell indentations) and Gal-Indent (for diamond Rockwell and Vickers indenters)
